Guided hikes for this event have sold out.
Calling all Girl Scouts! They are invited to join their troops and others for a day at Fernbank Museum, an event specially designed for them. Attendees will have the chance to explore the museum and find activities and games aimed at helping them earn badges. They can visit exhibits, including the special exhibit Armored Animals, and enjoy a Giant Screen film in the 3D theater.
Participants can also sign up for a guided hike in Fernbank Forest, led by a Ranger, to earn their Trail Adventure or Hiker badge.
Self-guided activities will be available throughout the day, which include:
- Outdoor Art Badge Activities: leaf and tree cookie prints
- Geocaching Badge Activities – Juniors: geocaching in Fernbank Forest
- Tree Badge Activities – Cadettes: visit the Trees educational cart
Guided hikes will occur at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., each lasting 90 minutes.*
It is important for participants to bring their sash or wear their uniform for the event.
Price:
Members: Free general admission
Nonmembers: $17 per person for general admission
