The iconic actress and singer, Kristin Chenoweth, has announced a special performance in collaboration with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) on Sunday, November 24, 2024. This much-anticipated event will take place at the Atlanta Symphony Hall, where Chenoweth will charm the audience by performing fan favorites from her illustrious career, showcasing her powerhouse vocals and captivating stage presence. This concert is part of the Delta Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE series.
Chenoweth’s career encompasses film, television, voice-over, and stage, earning her numerous accolades. In 2015, she received a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her Emmy Award-winning role as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for “Pushing Daisies” in 2009, alongside her Tony Award for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” in 1999, highlight her exceptional talent. Additionally, her performance as Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked” earned her a nomination in 2004, while she has also received nominations for two Emmy Awards and a People’s Choice Award for her work on “Glee.” Chenoweth continues to garner critical acclaim, notably for her lead role in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s “On the Twentieth Century.”
Upcoming projects include the development of a musical based on the award-winning 2012 documentary The Queen of Versailles, inspired by the life of socialite and beauty queen Jacqueline “Jackie” Siegel. Chenoweth is set to star and produce the show with her production company, Diva Worldwide Entertainment, collaborating again with her Wicked composer, Stephen Schwartz, who will write the music.
Currently, she stars in the acclaimed musical-comedy series “Schmigadoon!” on Apple TV+, having earned a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for her role as Mildred Layton.
