The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is set to present Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in Concert.” In this thrilling event, Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer’s score will be performed live alongside a screening of the film, conducted by Thiago Tiberio.
Renowned Oscar® and Grammy Award®-winning composer Hans Zimmer, along with his production team, have crafted the score for each installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series. The original score set new standards for thematic complexity and is distinguished by its orchestral vibrancy, accentuated by the use of horns for melodic emphasis.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” draws inspiration from the iconic attraction at Disney Parks and marks the beginning of the beloved film series. Set in the 18th century, the narrative follows the charismatic but roguish Captain Jack Sparrow as he navigates the Caribbean aboard his ship, the Black Pearl. However, Jack’s carefree existence is disrupted when his fierce rival, Captain Barbossa, seizes control of his ship and kidnaps the Governor’s enchanting daughter, Elizabeth Swann. In a daring quest to rescue her and reclaim the Black Pearl, Elizabeth’s childhood friend, Will Turner, aligns himself with Jack. Unknown to Will is the dark legacy haunting Barbossa and his crew—a curse that transforms them into the undead.
