About

In an inviting celebration of the arts, audiences are invited to pack a picnic and gather for an unforgettable evening of music under the stars at Piedmont Park’s Oak Hill. The event promises a FREE concert, marking one of Atlanta’s beloved summer traditions. Attendees will enjoy the natural beauty of the park as they listen to the harmonious sounds of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, conducted by William R. Langley. The evening’s program will feature a selection of orchestral favorites, including a special preview of the ASO’s two-season epic endeavor, the Beethoven Project. Highlights of the program will include movements from Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5, Rimsky-Korsakov’s intriguing Scheherazade, alongside works by Jesse Montgomery and Adolphus Hailstork.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best seating options, as views of the stage are on a first-come, first-served basis. The concert’s admission is free, and tickets are not necessary. Food trucks will also be available to complete the delightful picnic experience.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Concerts in the Park are brought to life by the Charles Loridans Foundation, Inc., with significant support from Graphic Packaging, WABE, the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Fulton County Arts and Culture, the Georgia Council for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
