Join the High Museum in Atlanta for a fascinating walking tour led by local artist Peter Ferrari. Originally scheduled for September 25, this event will now take place on October 2 due to inclement weather. For any questions, attendees are encouraged to contact culturecollective@high.org.
During this engaging tour, participants will delve into the vibrant murals created for the Forward Warrior festival, an annual event founded and curated by Ferrari himself. As the group strolls through the historic Cabbagetown neighborhood, they will receive insights about the murals adorning Wylie Street and learn about the talented artists behind them. Ferrari will also share his curatorial journey and discuss the festival’s evolution over the past decade.
The tour will kick off at the intersection of Carroll St SE and Tennelle St SE, covering roughly one mile of walking distance. While street parking is limited, options are available throughout Cabbagetown. To accommodate all visitors, assistive listening devices will be provided, and lightweight collapsible stools can be requested in advance.
