Open Books on Grass Field

If you love books and musicals, you won’t want to miss The Incredible Book Eating Boy at Kennesaw State University. This new musical is based on the hilarious book by Oliver Jeffers, and tells the story of Henry, a boy who eats books instead of reading them. He becomes smarter and smarter, but also sicker and sicker. Will he learn to love reading before it’s too late? Find out in this fun and educational show that celebrates the joy of reading and the insatiable appetite for knowledge. The musical is written by Madhuri Shekar, with music by Christian Magby and lyrics by Christian Albright. It is directed by Jamil Jude and produced by the Alliance Theatre. The production will run from July 1 to July 23, 2023 at the Stillwell Theater at Kennesaw State University. Don’t forget to bring in a new or gently used book to “feed” Henry and help Children Read Atlanta.
