Switching Sides: Participants will explore the significance of switches and sidings along the rail line, as well as the simple machines utilized in both.
Join in on the STEAM-powered fun at a Homeschool Workshop! Attendees will discover innovative train-themed concepts and apply them to their own inventions, art projects, machines, or games. The workshops are multidisciplinary and include hands-on projects, guided activities, tours, and demonstrations.
The drop-in program runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Each student will receive a personalized introduction and detailed instructions before starting open-ended activities. A guided presentation or tour will be available every half hour, providing deeper insights into the workshop topics.
This program is recommended for elementary students aged 5 to 12 and their caregivers. It is included with Museum admission and is free for Museum members. Registration is not required.
