The High Museum of Art will host an exclusive members-only tour of The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans. This exhibition features more than one hundred of Minnie Evans’s fantastical drawings and provides context about her extraordinary life. The presentation will cover her artistic evolution, from the line-driven compositions of the 1930s to the colorful and complex works of the 1960s. The retrospective will also explore Evans’s connection to Surrealism, her experiences shaped by historical events, and her roles as a domestic worker and gatekeeper at North Carolina’s Airlie Gardens.
Capacity is limited, and preregistration is required. Attendees can register by logging into their accounts or by contacting Member Services at 404-733-4575 (Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.).
