The latest installment of the unique exhibition celebrating the book format, The Book As Art: Ghosted, will open with a reception on Friday, September 11, from 6:30 to 9 PM. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments while experiencing over 60 impressive artworks from artists across the United States. This exhibition delves into themes of ghosts in stories and social media, exploring the concept of physical versus phantom connections. It invites artists to interpret the book as a medium and a vessel for creative expression, highlighting the dualities of communication. The exhibition emphasizes the transformation of language in the digital age and encourages viewers to consider ideas beyond the printed page. For those interested in supporting free art experiences in Decatur, opportunities to volunteer as a gallery sitter are available.
