Birds Georgia Forest Walk
Saturday, October 24, 2026 8:00 AM — 9:30 AM
The Birds Georgia volunteer program invites participants to explore the feathered inhabitants of Fernbank Forest, including both permanent residents and seasonal visitors. This program is suitable for beginning birders or individuals seeking a gentle terrain experience.
All ages are welcome to attend. The program will proceed rain or shine, although it may be canceled in cases of severe weather. Space is limited to 20 participants, and reservations are required.
Participants should be prepared for the weather and plan to walk on unpaved and uneven trails. It is recommended to bring binoculars, field guides, and water. Once the walk begins, participants must remain with the group for the duration of the program. Please note that this walk is not suitable for strollers.
This program is free for members of Fernbank Museum and Birds Georgia.
