Capturing Midtown: A Photo Walk Through Architectural Wonders!

Capturing Midtown: A Photo Walk Through Architectural Wonders!

Join the High Museum in Atlanta for an immersive photography workshop that encourages participants to explore the world through their lenses. This engaging event will delve into the relationship between photography and perception, inspired by the exhibition Photography’s New Vision: Experiments in Seeing.

Participants will embark on a guided walk around Midtown, following a series of photography prompts designed to unveil new perspectives, ideas, and technical possibilities. After the walk, everyone will return to the museum to share their photographs and reflect on their experiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose their favorite image from the day to print and mat, fostering a deeper connection to both their craft and the vibrant city.

This workshop is open to all skill levels and welcomes any type of camera, including smartphones. Participants are advised to bring their own cameras, while all other supplies will be provided. The walking portion will cover one mile over a duration of seventy-five to ninety minutes.

In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be postponed to Tuesday, July 22, with registrants being notified by email about any rescheduling details.
