The High Museum in Atlanta will host an event where participants can explore the theme of love in the creation of art. The Teen Team will facilitate activities including the decoration of picture frames and flower vases, as well as the crafting of paper flower bouquets, accompanied by a sweet treat. These Valentine’s Day-themed projects are inspired by artist Wangari Mathenge’s When Silence Breaks the Noise, a painting that illustrates the comforting love shared between two individuals amidst the challenges faced by immigrants in the broader world.
