Dino Day

Guests are invited to step into the shoes of a paleontologist at Fernbank Museum’s Dino Day! This event kicks off the grand opening of the museum’s newest exhibit, Ultimate Dinosaurs, with a dino-mite day filled with exciting activities and crafts. Participants can complete their day with a walk through the exhibit featuring dinosaurs from South America, Africa, and Madagascar.
Admission is included with general ticket prices and is free for museum members.
Scheduled Activities*
Ask a Paleontologist
Attendees can ask their burning dinosaur questions to two paleontologists and have the opportunity to see and touch fossils and replicas for an interactive learning experience.
Dino-hats
Participants can make a dinosaur hat to immerse themselves in the world of roaring giants.
Fossil Making
Using air-dry clay, guests can create their own fossils of their favorite dinosaurs.
Paper Plate Dino
Individuals can also create their own dinosaur species using paper plates and colorful paper.
Pangea Puzzle
Visitors will explore how the continents drifted apart, leading to the unique evolution of dinosaurs in different regions of this supercontinent spectacle.
Dinosaur Footprint Ruler
Guests can measure life-size footprints of dinosaurs and compare them to the feet of different animals.
Coloring Table
Creativity can be unleashed by coloring Southern Hemisphere dinosaurs.
