Upcoming Event at the High Museum in Atlanta: Art and Spirituality
The High Museum in Atlanta invites attendees to engage in a casual and thoughtful conversation that bridges art and spiritual practice. Each month, a guest from the realms of faith, spirituality, or contemplative practice will join a staff member from the museum to discuss a selected artwork and explore its potential for deeper contemplation.
This month, Kofi Ksa, a mindfulness and wellness practitioner rooted in various spiritual traditions—including the Quaker, Buddhist, Shamanic, and Lakota teachings—will lead a dialogue. Ksa utilizes guided meditation, chanting, and other contemplative practices to create multisensory connections between the mind, body, and soul. He is certified in mindfulness training through Emory University’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program and is also trained in Men’s Work Facilitation.
Ksa will focus on ‘Sweepers Clock’ from the ‘Real Time’ series by Maarten Baas, located on the Skyway Level of the Wieland Pavilion.
