Birds Georgia Forest Walk
Saturday, May 24, 2025, 9:00 AM — 10:30 AM
Participants are invited to join a Birds Georgia volunteer to explore the diverse avian life at the Fernbank Museum’s Fernbank Forest. This program provides insights into both the resident and visiting birds in the area, making it ideal for novice birders or those seeking a gentle walking experience.
Attendees should prepare for the weather conditions and be ready to traverse unpaved and uneven trails. It is recommended that participants bring binoculars, field guides, and water. Once the walk commences, everyone must remain with the group throughout the program. Strollers are not suitable for this walk.
This program is FREE for members of Fernbank Museum and Birds Georgia. Individuals of all ages are welcome. The event will take place rain or shine, though cancellations may occur in severe weather conditions. Space is limited to 20 participants, and reservations are required.
