Enchanting Evenings at the Atlanta Botanical Garden: Opera Storytime with Jessica Wax!

Attendees can enjoy a variety of live performances by some of Atlanta’s most beloved children’s musicians and storytellers in this engaging series at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Taught by teaching artists from The Atlanta Opera, Opera Storytime is perfectly suited for young ones as their first venture into the world of opera. This program will explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, talking and reading. Founded in 1979, The Atlanta Opera has celebrated opera for over 40 years and collaborates with world-renowned singers, conductors, directors, and designers who seek to enhance the art form.

Admission is free with Garden Membership or entry; no reservations for the show are required.

  • This program is located in the Children’s Garden Amphitheatre.
  • Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or ground cover if desired, as the grass can be damp in the morning.
  • Attendees should see the program greeter starting 10 minutes before each session.

In the event of rain, cold temperatures, or inclement weather making outdoor programming impractical, the program may be canceled or moved indoors. To check the status, individuals can email classes@atlantabg.org.
