The Atlanta Botanical Garden’s popular after-hours event returns with new activities in celebration of Alice’s Wonderland Returns. Every Thursday through Sept. 12, from 5 – 9 p.m., guests can purchase specialty cocktails, embark on a treasure hunt for the Cheshire Cat, enjoy live music, and engage with discovery stations and lawn games, all while exploring the exhibition dramatically lit at night.
- Upon arrival, attendees can take a picture at the tipsy photo op and purchase a specialty themed cocktail.
- The event features a Wonderland Scavenger Hunt starting in the Visitor Center: Participants can grab a pencil and clue sheet from the Visitor Center and begin their search for nine Cheshire Cats scattered around the Garden. This curious activity ensures that guests see everything the Garden has to offer. Those who solve the riddle can turn in their completed hunt to the Gift Shop for 20% off their purchase and a chance to win a drawing for a Garden Lights prize package!
- Guests can stroll around the Canopy Walk while enjoying a curated playlist.
- The Earth Goddess Discovery Station, staffed by Garden volunteers, offers insights about the Garden’s most iconic mosaiculture sculpture.
- Attendees can spot the Cheshire Cat on Alston Overlook before heading toward Alice, who is spinning down the rabbit hole by the Great Lawn, where they can play corn hole, Jenga, and Connect Four.
- The event also features an Artist Market in Cox Courtyard, showcasing garden-themed local vendors offering honey, jams, jewelry, blown glass, soaps, fascinators, plants, and more!
- Visitors should be cautious of the Queen of Hearts as they make their way toward the Singing Flowers and Skyline Garden, where a real-life Alice takes photos with guests in front of the Chess Set from 6 – 7 p.m. and 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
- Live music can be enjoyed at various locations throughout the season.
- Food and beverages can be purchased from Garden bars, Longleaf Restaurant, and the Snack Bar.
Please note: Activities may be canceled in the event of rain or inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on the website and social media by 2 p.m. on the day of the event. The Garden and its parking facility are card-only; no cash is accepted. Cocktails in Wonderland special activities will not take place on July 4, though the Garden will be open.
