The potential of watercolor in recording light and shadow on high-saturation reference images will be explored. Textural richness can be added to paintings through the use of strikingly different colors, creating bold warm and cool dynamics.
“Drawing from Experience” is an ongoing series of drawing sessions that draw inspiration from the High Museum’s campus and collection in Atlanta. Each session focuses on a distinct way of seeing and capturing the surrounding world, allowing participants to explore personal expression and develop drawing skills.
All materials for the sessions are provided, though participants may bring their own if desired. Ticket purchases include access to the galleries.
