The Fernbank Museum will host an event titled “Adventures in Science” focusing on the experiences of scientists. Participants will engage with educators and local scientists through a variety of experiments and activities throughout the museum.

This event is included with general admission, and members can attend for free.

Activities*

Novelis | Great Hall, 1st Floor
Participants will join Novelis in the Great Hall and at timed events in the Frances Wood Wilson Foundation Theater at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Culturally Relevant Science | Great Hall, 1st Floor
This activity invites participants to explore the world of chemistry with Culturally Relevant Science.

Circuit Runners | Star Gallery, 1st Floor
Participants can learn about innovation in robotics with the Circuit Runners.

Georgia Mineral Society | Great Hall & Balcony, 1st & 2nd Floor
This expedition into geology will be led by the Georgia Mineral Society.

Georgia Tech Astronomy Club | Great Hall & Balcony, 1st & 2nd Floor
The Georgia Tech Astronomy Club will guide participants on a cosmic adventure into astronomy.

Emory University Psychology Labs | Great Hall, 1st Floor
Participants are invited to explore psychological concepts with the Emory University Psychology Labs.

West Atlanta Watershed Alliance | Great Hall, 1st Floor
This organization will facilitate an environmental education experience.

Georgia State University Department of Anthropology | Great Hall, 1st Floor
Participants can join the Georgia State University Anthropology Club for an engaging and humorous exploration.

STEAM in Style: Lab Coats | STEAM Lab in the Naturalist Center, 3rd Floor
In the STEAM Lab, participants can use recycled materials and craft supplies to design their own lab coats.
