Guests are invited to celebrate National Haiku Poetry Day this April at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where art meets nature. Attendees will learn how natural patterns create interesting textures, and they will have the opportunity to mimic those textures in their own artwork. There will be forest scenes to explore in sensory bins, opportunities to combine natural items with playdough at playdough tables, and a chance to create a nature bookmark to take home.
Suggested ages: 6 months – 5 years. Weather permitting. The event will be canceled if rain or inclement weather makes outdoor programming impractical. To check the status, interested parties can email classes@atlantabg.org.
