Participants will learn how to make fantastic margaritas at home, Superica-style, in this exciting event at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Lara Creasy, Superica’s beverage director, will guide attendees in crafting the perfect classic margarita, as well as homemade syrups for delicious hibiscus and ginger margaritas to impress family and friends during their next Tex-Mex night. Tasty appetizers from Superica will be served while participants engage in this semi-hands-on class designed for budding mixologists. All ingredients, appetizers, and Garden admission are included.

About Lara Creasy
Recognized as one of the top beverage gurus in Atlanta by Imbibe Magazine, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and Creative Loafing, Lara Creasy brings more than 20 years of experience to her curation of unique and progressive cocktail creations, combined with thoughtful wine expertise, as the beverage director for Rocket Farm Restaurants’ Tex-Mex spots.
Before embarking on her professional career, Creasy graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2000. Since then, she has created and directed some of the most acclaimed beverage programs in the city, including those at Watershed, Shaun’s, JCT. Kitchen & Bar, no. 246, St. Cecilia, King + Duke, and The Optimist, as well as Superica, which has locations across the Southeast and into Texas. Currently, she curates and oversees the beverage program at each of the eight Superica locations, with more expansions planned.
Creasy has played an integral role in over 15 restaurant openings, and her menus have been celebrated in numerous restaurant accolades, from Eater’s “Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings” to Esquire’s “Restaurant of the Year.” Her work has also earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence multiple times for five different restaurants. Additionally, she has competed in cocktail competitions across the country, including the 2011 Manhattan Cocktail Classic and has been crowned “Tomato Queen” at Atlanta’s famous Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival.
Lara is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW). She holds a culinary arts degree from the Art Institute and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to tour wine regions in Italy, South Africa, and Spain, learn about tequila production in Mexico, taste Bourbon directly from the barrel in Kentucky, and dine at some of the best restaurants across the country, from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon.
