Birds Georgia Forest Walk
Saturday, August 2, 2025, 9:00 AM — 10:30 AM
The Birds Georgia Forest Walk will take place at the Fernbank Museum, led by a volunteer from Birds Georgia. This program offers an opportunity to learn about the feathered inhabitants of Fernbank Forest, including both permanent residents and seasonal visitors. It is designed for beginning birders and those preferring gentle terrain.
Participants should be prepared for the weather and for walking on unpaved and uneven trails. It is recommended that attendees bring binoculars, field guides, and water. Once the walk commences, attendees must remain with the group throughout the program. Strollers are not suitable for this event.
This program is offered free of charge to members of the Fernbank Museum and Birds Georgia. Individuals of all ages are welcome to attend. The program will be held rain or shine, although it may be canceled in cases of severe weather. Space is limited to 20 participants, and reservations are required.
