Hop into Fun: Frog Feeding Adventure at Atlanta Botanical Garden!

Saturdays at 10 a.m.: Visitors are invited to the Fuqua Conservatory lobby at the Atlanta Botanical Garden to watch frogs jump into action when presented with their meals. An amphibian specialist will share fun facts and answer questions about these captivating creatures.

Public frog feedings provide a unique opportunity to observe one of the most interesting aspects of these amphibians – their feeding behaviors. Most frogs have long sticky tongues that shoot out at prey. Some, like Poison frogs, demonstrate such incredible speed and accuracy that all visitors notice are flies disappearing. Others, like the fringed leaf frog, exhibit dramatic feeding behaviors by stuffing crickets into their mouths using their hands.
