Public frog feedings allow attendees to observe one of the most interesting aspects of these amphibians – their feeding behaviors. Most frogs have long sticky tongues that shoot out at prey. Some, like Poison frogs, are able to do this with such incredible speed and accuracy that all onlookers notice are flies disappearing. Others, like the fringed leaf frog, are dramatic feeders that stuff the crickets into their mouths with their hands.
