Participants will have the opportunity to combine imagination and reference imagery using color, line, transfer paper, and colored pencils, while emulating the work of artists such as Minnie Evans and Henry Darger. Various improvisational techniques will be explored during these sessions.
Drawing from Experience is an ongoing series of drawing sessions hosted at the High Museum in Atlanta. Each session draws inspiration from the museum’s campus and collection, focusing on different methods of observing and capturing the world. This initiative allows participants to explore personal expression and enhance their drawing skills.
All materials will be provided for these sessions, although participants are welcome to bring their own. Each ticket also includes access to the galleries.
