Leap into Fun: Frog Feeding Adventures at Atlanta Botanical Garden!

Saturdays at 10 a.m.: Visitors are invited to drop by the Fuqua Conservatory lobby at the Atlanta Botanical Garden to watch the frogs jump into action when presented with their meals. An amphibian specialist will share fun facts and answer questions about these captivating creatures.

Public frog feedings allow attendees to observe one of the most interesting aspects of these amphibians – their feeding behaviors. Most frogs have long sticky tongues that shoot out at prey. Some, like Poison frogs, can do this with such incredible speed and accuracy that all visitors see are flies disappearing. Others, like the fringed leaf frog, are dramatic feeders that stuff crickets into their mouths with their hands.
