Musing Together at the High Museum of Art: A Supportive Art Conversation for Individuals with Dementia and Their Care Partners
Musing Together is a unique monthly art conversation program held at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, specifically designed for individuals in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, along with their care partners. Each session is facilitated by High Museum staff, who lead engaging discussions centered on four to six selected artworks from the museum’s collection or special exhibitions.
This month, participants will explore pieces from the High’s Folk and Self-Taught Art collection.
During the ninety-minute program, attendees will have the opportunity to closely examine the artworks, share their insights and opinions, learn more about the pieces, and connect with others in a nurturing and supportive environment. The High Museum provides assistive listening devices and lightweight collapsible stools to ensure comfort for all participants.
To join this month’s conversation, prospective attendees can register by clicking the ticket button. The registration fee is $5 per person, and all registrants will receive a “Know Before You Go” email with essential information about directions, parking, and other details ahead of the event.
For those who wish to receive updates directly in their inbox, signing up for the Musing Together email list is available via the sign-up form.
