Midtown Nature Unplugged: A Photo Walk Adventure!

Midtown Nature Unplugged: A Photo Walk Adventure!

Engage with Photography at the High Museum in Atlanta

Experience the world through your camera at the High Museum’s upcoming workshop! Participants will explore the intricate relationship between photography and perception, inspired by the exhibition Photography’s New Vision: Experiments in Seeing. Following a discussion, attendees will embark on a guided walk around Midtown, utilizing various photography prompts designed to reveal fresh perspectives and technical possibilities.

After the walk, everyone will return to the museum to share their work and reflect on their experiences. Participants are encouraged to choose their favorite photograph of the day to print and mat, fostering a deeper connection to both their craft and the vibrant city.

This workshop welcomes all skill levels and any type of camera, including smartphones. Registrants should bring their own cameras, while all other supplies will be provided. The walking portion of the workshop will cover one mile over seventy-five to ninety minutes.

In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be rescheduled to Tuesday, July 22. All registrants will receive email notifications about any changes.
