Fernbank Museum, Fernbank Forest
This guided hike through Fernbank Forest will celebrate the ecosystem of the old-growth forest. Topics may vary each time and can include birding, tree identification, wildflowers, and more.
Cost: $10 for members / $20 for nonmembers
Things to know before visiting:
- Hikes will take place rain or shine, except in the event of hazardous weather. Participants are encouraged to check the weather and dress accordingly.
- The hike will last two hours, depending on weather conditions.
- The forest terrain is uneven and steep at times. Trails are not ADA accessible.
- This hike is not suitable for strollers.
- In case of inclement weather or if the minimum number of registrations is not met, Fernbank reserves the right to cancel the hike. Registered participants will be notified the day prior to the scheduled hike and issued a refund if cancelled.
