Palefsky Collision Project 2023: A Celebration of Maynard Jackson and Teen Creativity

People at Theater

The Alliance Theatre invites you to witness the creative work of 20 talented teenagers who participated in the Palefsky Collision Project 2023, a program that allows them to create theater inspired by a classic text. This year’s source text is Something Moving: A Meditation on Maynard by Pearl Cleage, a play that commemorates the 50th anniversary of Maynard Jackson’s election as the first African American Mayor of Atlanta.

The Palefsky Collision Project 2023 will have two final performances at the Rich Theatre, located at the Woodruff Arts Center, on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 7 PM and Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:30 PM. The performances are free and open to the public, but advanced registration is required. To reserve your tickets online click here.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see the unique and contemporary perspectives of these young artists as they collide with history and culture.
