Fernbank Forest
Participants can enjoy a guided hike through Fernbank Forest, celebrating the ecosystem of the old-growth forest. Each hike features varying topics, which may include birding, tree identification, wildflowers, and more.
Cost: $10 for members/$20 for nonmembers.
Things to know before visiting:
- Hikes take place rain or shine, unless there is hazardous weather. Participants should check the forecast and dress accordingly.
- The hike lasts two hours, weather permitting.
- The forest terrain can be uneven and steep at times, and trails are not ADA accessible.
- This hike is not suitable for strollers.
- In case of inclement weather or insufficient registrations, Fernbank reserves the right to cancel the hike. Registered participants will be notified of any cancellations via email the day prior and will receive a refund.
