Fernbank Forest
Participants can enjoy a guided hike through Fernbank Forest, celebrating the ecosystem of the old-growth forest. Each hike features varying topics, which may include birding, tree identification, wildflowers, and more.
Cost: $10 for members/$20 for nonmembers
Things to know before visiting:
- Hikes occur rain or shine, except in the case of hazardous weather. Participants should check the weather and dress accordingly.
- The hike lasts two hours, weather permitting.
- The forest terrain is uneven and steep at times. Trails are not ADA accessible.
- This hike is not suitable for strollers.
- In the event of inclement weather or insufficient registrations, Fernbank reserves the right to cancel the hike. Registered participants will receive an email the day before the scheduled hike to inform them of any cancellation and issue a refund.
