Each Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. during Spring, Summer, and Fall, the Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts the Garden Chef Demos in the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen. These demos showcase fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs, all presented in simple and mouthwatering recipes. Ilene Rouamvongsor is a seasoned cook with 15 years of experience. As a first-generation Laotian American, she grew up in a multicultural environment where Lao and Southern culinary traditions are celebrated through food. Ilene believes that sharing food helps break barriers; she emphasizes that food not only nourishes the body but also fosters community connections. She dedicates her time to educating and feeding people through culinary knowledge and welcoming anyone in need of a good meal!
