Fernbank Forest
Participants are invited to enjoy a guided hike through Fernbank Forest, celebrating the ecosystem of the old-growth forest. Each hike features varying topics, which may include birding, tree identification, wildflowers, and more.
Cost: $10 for members / $20 for nonmembers
Things to know before visiting:
- Hikes take place rain or shine, except in the event of hazardous weather. It is advisable to check the weather and dress accordingly.
- The hike lasts two hours, weather permitting.
- The forest terrain may be uneven and steep at times. Trails are not ADA accessible.
- This hike is not suitable for strollers.
- In case of inclement weather or insufficient registrations, Fernbank reserves the right to cancel the hike. Registered participants will be notified via email the day prior to the scheduled hike regarding any cancellations and refunds.
