Saturdays at 10 a.m.: Visitors are invited to the Fuqua Conservatory lobby at the Atlanta Botanical Garden to observe the fascinating feeding behaviors of frogs. An amphibian specialist will provide insights and respond to questions about these intriguing creatures.

The public frog feedings showcase one of the most captivating aspects of amphibian life – their feeding techniques. Many frogs possess long, sticky tongues that extend rapidly to capture prey. Certain species, such as Poison frogs, execute this with remarkable speed and precision, often leaving onlookers to witness only the swift disappearance of flies. Other species, like the fringed leaf frog, exhibit more dramatic feeding habits by using their hands to stuff crickets into their mouths.
