City Hall Closure
City Hall, along with Parks & Recreation and Public Works, will be closed on September 7 for Labor Day.
City Hall observes several holidays throughout the year, including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Trash collection will be affected on select holidays, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If these holidays fall on a Monday, collections for that week will occur one day later. Midweek holidays will also cause delays in collection.
Emergency services will remain available during the closure. For specific holiday hours at the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History or Smith-Gilbert Gardens, direct contact is recommended.
