City Hall will be closed on July 3 for Independence Day. This closure includes Parks & Recreation and Public Works.
City Hall observes several holidays throughout the year: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Trash collection will be impacted during six holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Following Monday holidays, trash and recycling will be collected one day later for the entire week. Midweek holidays will result in delayed collections for the remainder of the week.
For specific holiday hours at the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History or Smith-Gilbert Gardens, contact those facilities directly. Emergency services will remain available during this time.
