The Kennesaw City Hall, along with Parks & Rec and Public Works, will be closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day (January 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15), Good Friday (March 29), Memorial Day (May 27), Juneteenth (June 19), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (September 2), Veterans Day (November 11), Thanksgiving (November 28 & 29), and Christmas (December 24 & 25).
Trash collection will be interrupted on the following six holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. For holidays occurring on a Monday, trash and recycling routes for the entire week following these holidays will be collected one day later. For holidays that fall midweek, collections on the days of that week after the holiday will be delayed until the subsequent day (for instance, if the holiday is on a Tuesday, Tuesday’s collections will occur on Wednesday, Wednesday’s collections on Thursday, and so on for the rest of the week). If any of these six holidays fall on a weekend, the collection schedule will not change.
For specific holiday hours at the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History or Smith-Gilbert Gardens, individuals are encouraged to contact the Museum or Gardens directly.
Emergency services will remain available during these holidays.
