On Saturday, December 14, at 12:00 PM, attendees are invited to join the Kennesaw City Cemetery, an official Wreaths Across America (WAA) location, along with the Kennesaw Mountain Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) and the Cemetery Preservation Commission for a wreath-laying ceremony. This event will contribute to a nationwide effort, joining over 4,700 other locations across the country and abroad in observance of National Wreaths Across America Day. Local volunteers have coordinated and led the event, and sponsorship groups have raised funds throughout the year to sponsor the placement of veterans’ wreaths on the headstones of fallen service members resting at the cemetery. This annual ceremony aims to further the year-long mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach, ensuring the memory of those who served the country endures.
