Those interested in volunteering at Smith-Gilbert Gardens are invited to join with friends and family for one or all of the 2025 Community Volunteer Days!
Registration is free and is required to participate. Children are welcome to join with their parents (a parent consent form will be available on site at check-in for children to participate).
Each volunteer day will kick off at 9 AM and conclude by noon. All necessary tools and gloves will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own. It is advisable to wear pants to protect knees and to dress in layers, as some mornings may be chilly. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle!
- January 20 – MLK Jr. Day of Service
- A beautification project for the garden entryway. Project coordinators will guide volunteers in cleaning up the front entryway off Pine Mountain Road into the Gardens and planting new annuals.

- Celebrating Georgia’s Arbor Day with a volunteer opportunity at the Gardens.
