Attendees are invited to join the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History on Saturday, February 8, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, for Tradition of the African American Quilt, presented by the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the rich art, history, and traditions of African American quilting and learn how heirloom quilts act as powerful storytellers, preserving volumes of history through their unique, lovingly crafted designs. This engaging panel discussion will foster audience interaction, and a variety of stunning quilts will be on display. Admission is included with Museum entry and is free for members.
