Trey Wright, a KSU professor, leads an engaging Jazz Talk series at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, designed for music enthusiasts and curious minds alike. This series, part of the Lumiere Lounge Jazz Talks, includes four upcoming presentations:
- August 13, 2026: A Love Supreme – The Music of John Coltrane
- September 10, 2026: Both Sides Now: Joni Mitchell’s Jazz Years
- October 8, 2026: The Role of the Bass with Bassist Tim Aucoin
- November 5, 2026: Charlie Christian and the Evolution of Jazz Guitar
The events begin at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM. Each ticket includes one drink, and seating is limited to 30 guests, with an age restriction of 21 and older. Admission is priced at $35.60.
