The Marietta History Center is excited to showcase the “Marietta History Center at 30,” marking its 30th anniversary. This special exhibition offers a retrospective view of the museum’s journey from its founding in 1996 to its current standing as a central hub for history in Marietta and Cobb County, all within the historic Kennesaw House.

Divided into four chronological chapters, the exhibit not only highlights key events but also provides insight into the museum’s inner workings. Visitors can learn about the vital role volunteers play and how artifacts are incorporated into the permanent collection. A noteworthy feature of the exhibition focuses on the Kennesaw House, which has a rich history dating back to the 1840s, originally serving as a cotton warehouse and later as the Fletcher House hotel.

The exhibition runs from January 31 through late Fall 2026. Admission is priced at $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (60+), while members, children under 5, and active military personnel and veterans can enter for free.

For more information, visit the Marietta History Center’s website at mariettahistory.org. The center is located at 1 Depot St NE, Marietta, GA. The exhibition is open on September 8 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
