The Marietta History Center is celebrating a significant milestone with the opening of its 30th-anniversary exhibition, “Marietta History Center at 30.” This exhibition charts the museum’s journey from its founding in 1996 to its current role as a key historical resource for Marietta and Cobb County, all within the historic Kennesaw House.

The exhibit is divided into four chronological chapters that reflect the museum’s evolution over three decades. In addition to a timeline of significant events, it provides insight into essential museum operations, such as the vital role of volunteers and the process of accepting artifacts into the permanent collection. A highlight of the exhibit focuses on the Kennesaw House, originally built in the 1840s and notable for surviving the Civil War and the destruction of Marietta.

The exhibition runs from January 31 through late Fall 2026. Admission is priced at $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors aged 60 and up, and free for members, children under 5, and active military personnel and veterans.

For more information, visit Marietta History Center. The venue is located at 1 Depot St NE, Marietta, GA. Operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
