The Marietta History Center is marking a significant milestone with the launch of its 30th-anniversary exhibition, “Marietta History Center at 30.” This special exhibit, running from January 31 through late Fall 2026, offers a comprehensive look back at the museum’s growth since its inception in 1996.
Visitors can explore four chronological chapters detailing the museum’s journey and delve into its inner workings, including the vital role of volunteers and the process of curating artifacts for the collection. A key highlight of the exhibit is the Kennesaw House, a historic structure originally built in the 1840s. This building has stood the test of time, surviving the Civil War and the burning of Marietta, and serves as a fitting backdrop for the museum’s historical narrative.
Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is priced at $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (60+), while free entry is available for members, children under 5, and active military and veterans.
