The latest installment of a unique exhibition celebrating the book format will take place soon.
An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, September 11, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments and experience over 60 impressive artworks from around the United States featured in this show.
The Book As Art: Ghosted marks the fourteenth edition of this exhibition series, which highlights the book as a resilient object in an increasingly digital world.
Artists are invited to explore the book as both a medium of practical expression and a vessel for creative interpretation, examining concepts such as physicality, folklore, and the transformation of language in the digital age.
The exhibition encourages viewers to look beyond the printed page, engaging with the dualities of communication and celebrating both the macabre and the fantastic.
For those interested in supporting free art experiences in Decatur, opportunities to volunteer as gallery sitters are available.
