A hand-quilting series for beginners is scheduled for Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cascade Branch, running from September 24 to November 19. Participants will learn basic hand-stitching techniques while creating their own quilts. Attendees should bring nine 12½-inch cotton fabric squares, quilting thread in at least two colors, hand-sewing needles, a pincushion, fabric scissors, and one yard of black or navy-blue cotton fabric. Registration is required for adults.
