This hands-on course offers participants a foundation in drawing through essential skills such as observing form and light, creating depth, texture, and expressive lines. It is designed for individuals at any skill level, from beginners to those seeking to refine their technique. By the conclusion of the course, participants will have enhanced confidence, curiosity, and foundational skills for various artistic pursuits.
This course will help artists:
- Understand the basic elements and principles of drawing
- Understand line quality, value scale, positive & negative space, perspective, measurements, and composition
- Learn to experiment with different techniques and materials
- Explore creative expression beyond preconceived boundaries
- Learn multiple approaches to drawing that will increase accuracy and confidence
