The Marietta History Center is set to unveil its exciting exhibition, “Marietta History Center at 30,” celebrating three decades of history since its founding in 1996. The exhibit will showcase the museum’s development and its pivotal role as the historical heart of Marietta and Cobb County, all within the historic Kennesaw House.
This retrospective journey is organized into four chronological sections, providing a detailed look at the museum’s evolution. Visitors will gain insight into the vital roles of volunteers and the processes behind artifact acquisitions. A special focus will be placed on the Kennesaw House, a building with a rich history dating back to the 1840s, which has endured significant events, including the Civil War.
The exhibition opens on Saturday, January 31st, and will be on display through late Fall 2026. Admission prices are $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors aged 60 and up, while members, children under five, active military, and veterans can enter for free.
