At “My Parent’s Basement,” the entry fee for the tournament is set at $5, and the event is endorsed by IFPA for WPPR points. Registration will take place from 11:30 to 11:55 am, with games commencing at 12:00 pm.
The Sunday tournament will feature a Progressive Strikes format, where participants will compete in groups of 3 or 4, ensuring that players with similar records are matched together. Everyone is guaranteed to play at least 4 rounds, with the possibility of playing more.
In each group, the ranking is as follows: 1st place receives 0 strikes, 2nd place gets 1 strike, 3rd place earns 2 strikes, and 4th place incurs 3 strikes. Once a player accumulates 10 strikes, they will be eliminated from further rounds. For groups of three players, the strikes awarded are 0, 1, and 2.
Games will be available at their standard settings of $1 per play or 3 plays for $2. The Tournament Director has the discretion to accelerate strikes or implement a sudden death final game due to time constraints, especially when only 4 or fewer players remain; however, the full event is typically played out.
