Event Announcement: Bird-Watching Walk at Morgan Falls Overlook Park

Morgan Falls Overlook Park features diverse habitats that support a wide variety of bird species throughout the year, including shorebirds such as Avocets, winter ducks, nesting Bald Eagles, and various sparrows. The event will include a walk that may involve navigating wet grass, stairs, gently sloped pavement, and unpaved trails. A scope and loaner binoculars will be available for participants. The group will start at Overlook Park, meeting in the parking lot, and will proceed to walk along the road to Morgan Falls Dam.

Parking Information:
Participants are advised to turn right into the free parking lot at Overlook Park, located at the end of Morgan Falls Road. Restroom facilities are accessible onsite.

Directions:
From GA400, take exit 6 (Northridge Road) and travel west until Northridge dead-ends at Roswell Road. Turn left onto Roswell Road and continue for 1.2 miles. Turn right onto Morgan Falls Road (at the traffic light). At the end of Morgan Falls Road, turn right to enter Overlook Park, where the group will assemble in the parking lot.
