Program Overview:
Atlanta’s Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo, established in 1987, focuses on traditional instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do. The program emphasizes authentic karate techniques, internal power development, and self-defense, all within a cooperative and respectful learning environment.
The Dojo caters to both beginners and experienced practitioners, fostering physical and mental strength. It provides traditional karate training, distinct from sport karate, following principles developed in Okinawa over many centuries. Moeller Sensei, who has studied T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido for over 30 years, leads the program. He is also the author of “Karate-Do Foundations,” published in 1995.
