Program Overview:
Established in 1987, Atlanta’s Traditional Okinawan Karate-do Dojo provides instruction in Shorin Ryu and Shudokan Karate-do, emphasizing both traditional techniques and internal power development. The program aims to foster personal growth in a cooperative and respectful environment, welcoming both beginners and experienced practitioners.
The Dojo focuses on authentic karate, with a curriculum rooted in historical self-defense techniques rather than sport karate. Instruction incorporates additional martial arts principles, including T’ai Chi Ch’uan, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Aikido, taught by Moeller Sensei, an experienced instructor and author of “Karate-Do Foundations.”
